Bringing a Speaker/Entertainer
Follow the instructions below to bring a speaker/entertainer for your event.
NOTE: Ample time is required for business services to process speaker/entertainer contracts. Hence, coordinate with the intended speaker/entertainer 3-4 weeks before your event date. In all speaker/entertainer negotiations, include Jesimiel Banjiram and Vickie Sanchez (i.e. emails, in-person/online meetings).
Before you get started on negotiating with a speaker or entertainer, have you done the following?
1) Do you have a date, time, flyer, or save the date for this event?
2) A fee in mind to negotiate with the speaker/ entertainer and how long their service will be?
3) Do you know if the speaker/entertainer has worked with UWL in the past?
Considering these questions beforehand will expedite the contract process.
01
Get in contact with Speaker/Entertainer.
Get in contact with the speaker/ entertainer to discuss logistics (speaker/entertainer fee, accomodations, stage needs, etc) Jesimiel Banjiram MUST be present during negotiations (cc'ed on the email, in-person/online meetings).
03
Jesimiel prepares a contract
Jesimiel will prepare the contract and inform your organization via email when it has been processed.
02
Get the speaker/entertainer's contact information.
Once a deal has been negotiated, get the contact information (email and phone number) of the speaker/entertainer and send it to Jesimiel Banjiram.
04
Jesimiel picks up the check or not...
Payment to speakers/entertainers would depend on how they choose to receive it. If they choose to have their check after the event, Jesimiel will pick it up and have an org representative hand it over to the speaker/entertainer AFTER the event. If they choose otherwise, Jesimiel will inform your organization.
