EXECUTIVE MEMBER CONDUCT
Executive members refer to UWL students who hold a position in any Multicultural Student Organization as defined by the Division of Access, Belonging, and Compliance. These positions include but are not limited to: Co-Chairs, Presidents, Vice Presidents, Treasurers, Diversity Organization Coalition Representative (DOC), Secretary, Events Coordinator, Social Media Coordinator, and Senator.
As a student leader, you are expected to abide by the stated responsibilities in your by-laws but also conduct yourself in a manner upholds the highest standards of integrity and professionalism, reflecting positively on both your organization and the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse.

Examples of Unacceptable Conduct for Executive Members on campus.

Violation of University or Organizational Policies
Engaging in actions that breach UWL’s Code of Conduct, organizational by-laws, or COVE policies. -
Disrespectful or Discriminatory Behavior
Using offensive language, harassment, bullying, or exhibiting bias toward individuals or groups. -
Misuse of Organizational Resources
Using funds, facilities, or equipment for personal benefit or unauthorized purposes. -
Unprofessional Communication
Posting inappropriate or harmful content on social media or other platforms that reflects poorly on the organization, OMSS or UWL. -
Failure to Maintain Confidentiality
Sharing sensitive information about members, finances, or organizational decisions without proper authorization. -
Substance Abuse During Events
Consuming alcohol or drugs in violation of university policy or event regulations. -
Neglect of Leadership Responsibilities
Missing meetings, failing to complete assigned tasks, or disregarding deadlines without valid reason. -
Behavior That Endangers Safety
Ignoring safety protocols or engaging in actions that put others at risk during events or activities.

Note: These standards of conduct apply at all times when members are representing their student organization, including but not limited to general meetings, classes, Student Association activities, campus events, and other university-related settings.
Consequences for Unsanctioned Behaviors

Engagement in any unsanctioned behaviors outlined above may result in immediate removal from a student leadership position and, in cases of significant misconduct, may lead to dismissal from OMSS programs, in accordance with established university policies and procedures.
